The Performance Program
Code23 are proud sponsors of the Bradfield Tennis Centre Performance Program. The scheme gives gifted young tennis players the opportunity to train at least 3 times a week with highly qualified LTA licensed coaches.
As a result of the sponsorship, these talented children, aged between 5 – 18 have been able to take their skills to the next level and participate in tournaments, they might otherwise not had chance to get involved in.
Founder and director of Code23, James Ansell is a keen tennis player himself, and through his history of involvement with the Bradfield Tennis Club, understands the importance of consistent high quality coaching and practice from an early age to develop the skills needed to compete at a national level.
About the program
Running since 2013, the program has gone from strength to strength, with all the players receiving county cup training invites. They’ve also produced numerous county champions with many players breaking into the top 50 and top 100 GB rankings.
2019 saw players from the program begin competing in higher graded competitions, as well as play abroad in international tournaments.
The program extends beyond the regular training sessions and recently enabled sponsored player Theo to visit the Rafael Nadal Academy in Mallorca, one of the leading sports centres in the world.
Congratulations are in order for some of the recent winners…
Victoria Danny and Mathew won tournaments, and Will, Danny and Conrad finished runners up in other events. Well done to them all!
At Code23 we always love seeing the amazing progress of these rising stars and are delighted to have the opportunity to get involved in such an inspiring program within our local community.
The Performance Program includes 4 different levels, yellow, green, orange and red, dependant upon skill, with at least 2 strength and conditioning sessions and a one to one lesson with one of the coaches.
All players on the program receive competition advice and are guaranteed a minimum of one tournament support visit per term.
