An eLearning platform built from scratch

With the COVID-19 pandemic making it impossible to continue running their onsite courses for the foreseeable future, London College of Style (LCS) needed to sell new online versions of their courses. 

This was always the plan, but the situation prompted them to fast track the process and start building and marketing courses during May 2020 to launch in June.

LCS needed an all encompassing eLearning platform built from scratch and a complete redesign of their marketing website with eCommerce functionality to both generate new leads and convert visitors into course goers and style gurus!

A big ask you might say, but Code23 delivered…

THE SOLUTION

A New Website. Designed for Conversion.

We completely redesigned and reinvigorated the website, modernising all the visual assets and branding to give everything a fresh and highly distinctive feel.

Important resources for customers at all stages in their buyer journey are now helpfully implemented across the site. From blog posts and articles showcasing Evergreen’s expertise and informative videos that give customers a great feel for the company, to client testimonials and FAQs to answer any and all-important questions!

Our clever UX folks designed and structured the entire site to engage and encourage users, with clear calls to action and simple but effective user journeys, and most importantly guiding them to take the next step and sign up for the free video strategy session. 

The designers and UX team at Code23 totally overhauled the existing website with a new UX and visual design. Custom WordPress development followed with WooCommerce (eCommerce) and LearnDash (Learning Management System)  integration, enabling LCS to provide and sell courses on the same platform.

The team built out 5 brand new online courses using LearnDash and WordPress. Each course consists of 8 modules which are released to students on a weekly basis after they’ve bought and enrolled on the course. 

The courses are made up of video, text, imagery and interactive quizzes, allowing students to work through the course content at their own pace and learn new skills in a variety of ways. 

Part of the brief was to automate as much as possible making life easier for all involved. Whilst not without some optional input if required, we automated the quiz scoring process, reducing the workload of tutors.

Within the first month of promoting the course using Facebook Ads £11K sales were generated from a £1K budget and the courses are continuing to attract a steady stream of new students who are buying and working their way through the course content.

LCS have also been able to offer students who signed up to their campus courses but were unable to attend due to COVID a place on the online version of the course rather than refund course fees.

Code23 have trained LCS employees to upload their own course content, so they can change the courses in the future and add to their product catalogue.
