Student Pads helps students based in the Reading (Berkshire) area to find accommodation. As students were the main users of the site, we felt it was important to design something that would appeal to that market. We came up with a funky, edgy design that hit the right tones for the client and its users straight away. Student Pads use the in-house property management software Acquaint so it was important to develop a site that integrated seamlessly with this (via XML feeds) without sacrificing the look and feel.
We integrated Google's mapping API to allow users to view property locations and a host of other features to insure the experience was rich and engaging. We are currently building a student portal to allow tenants and staff to keep track of signed and useful documents.
